The short version

Our programmes are practical training, not guarantees of income or business results. Pay through our official Selar link, attend as an adult who respects other participants, keep our materials for your own use, and know that your legal rights as a consumer in Nigeria are never taken away by these terms.

About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of digitalbizlab.net and to any programme, cohort, masterclass, community, digital product or other service offered by Digital Biz Lab ("Digital Biz Lab", "we", "us" or "our"), a business name registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria (BN 9873146), based in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria.

By visiting our website, buying a place on a programme or joining one of our sessions or groups, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These Terms should be read with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

Who can use our services

Our services are for people aged 18 and over. By booking, you confirm that you are at least 18 and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you book on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

Our programmes and services

We offer live cohorts, masterclasses, community programmes, digital products, corporate training and related services. Descriptions on our website, flyers and social media explain what each offer includes, such as the number of live sessions, resources, recordings, WhatsApp support period and certificate.

We take care to describe our programmes accurately. Sometimes we need to make reasonable changes, such as adjusting a session time, changing a facilitator, updating a tool that has changed, or improving the curriculum. If a change is significant, we will tell you, and our Refund Policy explains your options.

Booking, prices and payment

  • Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless we say otherwise.
  • Seats are limited. Your place is confirmed only when we receive confirmation of your payment.
  • Early bird prices and other promotions apply only until the closing date shown, and while places last.
  • Payments are processed by Selar, and Selar's own terms apply to the payment. Please pay only through the official links published on digitalbizlab.net or shared by us from our official channels. If you are unsure whether a payment link is genuine, ask us first on WhatsApp or by email.
  • If we discover a clear pricing error, we will tell you and give you the choice to continue at the correct price or receive a full refund.

Refunds and cancellations

Our Refund Policy sets out when you can cancel and get your money back. It forms part of these Terms.

Attending live sessions and using recordings

  • Live sessions take place on Zoom or another platform we name. You are responsible for your own device, internet connection and power supply.
  • Please join with the name you registered under, and treat the facilitators and other participants with courtesy.
  • We may record sessions. If you speak, switch on your camera or use the chat, you may appear in the recording. See our Privacy Policy for how we use recordings.
  • Recordings and materials are for your personal use only. You must not record sessions yourself, or share, sell, upload or publish recordings, passwords or session links without our written permission.

Community and WhatsApp group rules

Our groups exist to help people learn and build. When you join one, you agree to:

  • be respectful and avoid harassment, abuse, hate speech or discrimination;
  • not post spam, unsolicited advertising, scams, illegal content or misleading claims;
  • not promote your own products or services unless a facilitator says it is allowed;
  • not share other members' personal details, messages or work without their permission; and
  • follow the reasonable instructions of the group administrators.

We may remove a member, or close a group, if these rules are broken. See the Refund Policy for how removal affects refunds.

Certificates

Where a programme includes a certificate, we issue it as evidence that you took part in that programme, once you meet the attendance and participation requirements we communicate for it. Our certificates are issued by Digital Biz Lab. They are not academic degrees and are not a government accredited qualification. Each certificate has an ID that anyone can check on our verification page at digitalbizlab.net/verify. We may withhold or withdraw a certificate if it was obtained dishonestly, and a withdrawn certificate will show as revoked there.

Intellectual property

All slides, prompts, templates, worksheets, recordings, curriculum, logos and other materials we provide are owned by Digital Biz Lab or our licensors and are protected by law. When you buy a place, we give you a personal, non exclusive, non transferable licence to use the materials for your own learning and your own business. You must not copy, resell, redistribute, publish or use them to create a competing training product.

The work you create using what you learn remains yours. We will not publish your name, business, testimonial or work without your permission.

AI tools and third party services

Our training shows how to use third party tools, including AI tools. We do not own or control them. Their features, prices, availability and terms can change at any time, and you are responsible for any subscription cost and for following each tool's own terms. Mention of a tool is not an endorsement or a promise that it will always be available.

AI tools can produce inaccurate, incomplete or biased results. You are responsible for checking anything you produce or publish, and for deciding what information you enter into any tool. Please do not enter confidential, personal or client data into a tool unless you understand and are comfortable with how that tool handles data.

No guarantee of results

We work hard to make our training practical and useful, but we do not promise any particular outcome, such as income, sales, clients, jobs or business growth. Results depend on many factors outside our control, including your effort, your market and your circumstances. Examples and case studies are for learning and are not a prediction of what you will achieve.

Our content is general education. It is not legal, financial, tax, investment or other professional advice. Please get advice from a qualified professional before making important decisions.

Using our website

You agree not to misuse our website. In particular, you must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, introduce harmful code, scrape it in bulk, or use it for any unlawful purpose or to mislead others about who you are.

Corporate training

Corporate and organisational training is provided under a written proposal or agreement that we agree with your organisation. Where that document conflicts with these Terms, the written agreement applies to the corporate training.

Links to other sites

Our website and messages may link to sites and services run by others. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

Suspension and removal

If you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, for example by harassing others, sharing our paid materials or misusing a session, we may remove you from a session, group or programme. We will explain why. If we remove you for a serious breach, you may not be entitled to a refund, as set out in our Refund Policy.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right you have as a consumer under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 or any other Nigerian law, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, income, business or opportunity arising from your use of our services;
  • we are not responsible for failures of third party platforms or services outside our reasonable control, such as Zoom, Selar, WhatsApp, banks, telecom networks, internet or power supply, or for events beyond our reasonable control; and
  • our total liability to you for any claim connected with a programme is limited to the amount you paid us for that programme.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on this page, with its "last updated" date, is the current one. If you have already bought a place on a programme, the Terms in force when you paid continue to apply to that programme, unless a change is required by law or is clearly in your favour.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at hello@digitalbizlab.net. We will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. If we cannot, either of us may propose mediation or another form of alternative dispute resolution. Failing that, the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, have jurisdiction.

None of this stops you from making a complaint to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) or another regulator, or from going to court.

General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about our services. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we delay in enforcing a right, we have not given it up.
