Refund Policy

What this policy covers

This Refund Policy applies to places on Digital Biz Lab live cohorts, masterclasses and workshops, and to any digital product we sell, bought through Selar or another official Digital Biz Lab payment link. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Corporate training is covered by the written proposal or agreement we sign with your organisation, and refunds and cancellations for it are handled under that document.

When you get a full refund

We will refund the full amount you paid if:

1. We cancel. We cancel the programme or your session, or we cannot deliver what we promised.
2. We reschedule and you cannot attend. We move the programme to dates that you cannot make, and you ask for a refund within 7 days of us telling you the new dates.
3. You cancel in good time. You ask for a refund at least 48 hours before the start of the first live session.
4. Duplicate or mistaken payment. You paid twice for the same place, or paid by mistake.
5. Technical failure on our side. You paid but cannot get access to the programme because of a fault we are unable to fix within a reasonable time.
6. Not as described. What we deliver is materially different from how we described it when you bought.

If you paid an early bird price, we refund the amount you actually paid.

When you get a partial refund

If we deliver only part of what we promised, for example a live session is cancelled and we do not replace it with an equivalent, we will refund a fair proportion of what you paid for the part we did not deliver.

When we do not give a refund

Once the first live session has started, you have begun receiving the service, including live teaching, materials and access to recordings. From that point we do not refund the following:

• a change of mind, or a schedule clash that you knew about when you booked;
• not attending or not joining a session you booked, where a recording or replay is provided;
• not getting the personal or business results you hoped for, since results depend on how you apply what you learn and we do not guarantee outcomes;
• problems caused by your own device, internet connection, power supply or subscription to a third party tool; and
• removal from a session, group or programme for a serious breach of our Terms, such as harassment or sharing paid materials.

Digital products, such as e-books, templates and prompt packs, are delivered immediately. Once you have downloaded or opened one, we do not refund a change of mind. We will still refund it if it is faulty, is not what we described, or was bought twice.

None of this limits your rights under the law, described below.

Transfers and deferrals

If you cannot attend after the deadline for a refund, please contact us anyway. Where we can, we will let you transfer your place to another person, or move your place to a later cohort. This is at our discretion and subject to seat availability. We will confirm any transfer or deferral in writing.

How to request a refund

Email hello@digitalbizlab.net or message us on WhatsApp, and include:

• your full name;
• the email address or phone number you used to pay;
• your Selar order reference or proof of payment; and
• the programme, and a short reason for your request.

We will reply within 3 business days to confirm whether your request is approved, and if it is not, we will explain why.

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are returned to the payment method you used, through Selar or the relevant payment provider. Once we approve a refund, it is normally completed within 7 to 14 business days. The time it takes to reach your account also depends on your bank or card issuer, which we do not control. We will tell you when we have processed it.

Your legal rights

This policy is in addition to your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 and other Nigerian law, and it does not reduce them. If a product or service is defective, does not match its description, or is not delivered as agreed, you may have rights to a remedy, including a refund, whatever this policy says.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with our decision, tell us at hello@digitalbizlab.net and we will review it. If we cannot resolve it, you can contact the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) at fccpc.gov.ng.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The policy in force on the day you paid applies to that purchase.
